All of the water used at Bridgestone’s plant in Costa Rica is extracted from wells, and total consumption gures include treated water. In 2016, water consumption totaled 184,912 m3.

Bridgestone uses recycled water to water the plant’s green areas. In 2016, 1,360 m3 of recycled water was used for irrigation purposes.

In addition to recycling water, in 2016, the company implemented sludge composting at all its wste water treatment plants. Thanks to this program, a total of 272,073.4 m3 of water was returned to the Quebrada Seca River.
