All of the water used at the Cuernavaca plant is extracted from wells. In 2016, the company extracted 202,048 m3 of water, 3.5% less than in 2015.

Bridgestone’s total water consumption was 319,778 m3, which encompasses the total amount of extracted water and the total amount of recycled water used for irrigation purposes.

117,730 m3 of water was recycled using a physicochemical process. Of the total volume of water used in 2016, 36.8% was reused and recycled water.

Furthermore, in 2016, 175,040 m3 of water was returned to Barranca Puente Blanco using a physicochemical method.
